Nov 26, 2022 · With Kat-eyz, Phil asks for enough measurements to make sure the frame fits. In fact I have one Kat-eyz & it was made for my '45 D-18. When I sent it back to change to the larger thumbscrew, Phil checked out my photos and made me a new capo with a smaller frame (less deep frame....& shorter screw) .....& it also fits my '54 J-50 with a classic ... I have a Kat Eyz capo which is very similar to the Elliott (sp) although the Kat Eyz is actually even smaller and lighter by a slight amount. On my better guitar, the one for which the Kat Eyz was custom made, I notice much the same results as you have when comparing to my Planet Waves NS.

The Kat Eyz has a 1/4" screw which makes it quicker to spin up AND limits the amount of pressure immediately applied. I do make and offer a 3/8" knurled thumbscrew but it does bring with it a little caution because you can really torque up a capo!. Great thread!!
