Mar 30, 2020 · it does get spark and fuel. after hepl with troubleshooting i found the the ECM connector was burnt at the connector point. id di replace the ECM and the entire wire harness. but it did not fix it. it still cranks but will not start. when the engine cranks with the key , the engine sound good with no internal noise.

Had to give it a shot of starting fluid to start. Used the ranger several times with no problem starting. Ranger started normal today after sitting for over 24 hours. It cranks over as it should. sounds smooth. fuel pump cuts in and builds up pressure on the pump itself and on the fuel rack where the injectors are located. I pulled the plugs and checked for fuel inside the cylinder but none present on the plugs and I checked both plugs for spark and there's none.
