The issue was screw length. The ones in the box were too long. Tacrig has screws that fit I think you can also call Holosun and ask for screws. It may not make sense but is cheap to try. On both guns I had them mounted on, it was never natural to bring the dot to bare. The elevated position it puts the dot in just never clicked, even after a lot of range time.
